LOOSE LEAF HOT TEA
Early/Mid/Late Spring, Twig Tea, Oolong, Red Tea, Banana Sky, Bubble Gum, Desert Breeze, English Cottage, Green Rose, Morning Sun, Sunday Brunch
DIRECTIONS:
- Boil water + let cool to the correct temperature (see chart at the bottom).
- Place 1 heaping Tablespoon (3-4g) tea leaves into a small teapot.
- Pour 1 cup (240g) water over the tea leaves.
- Let steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the tea over a strainer into a cup.
Leaves can be brewed 3+ times.
If you don't have a food thermometer:
Bring your water to a full boil, then immediately cool with the lid off for 2 to 4 minutes, depending on how much water you're boiling and which tea you're brewing.
*Never pour boiling hot water over green tea leaves. It will bring out too much bitterness, plus this "cooks" the tea leaves rather than drawing out the beautiful flavors and benefits.
