LOOSE BREAD TEA - HOT BREWED

Early/Mid/Late Spring, Twig Tea, Oolong, Red Tea, Banana Sky, Bubble Gum, Desert Breeze, English Cottage, Green Rose, Morning Sun, Sunday Brunch

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Boil water + let it cool to the correct temperature (see table below).
  2. Place 1 heaped tablespoon (3-4 g) of tea leaves into a small teapot.
  3. Pour 1 cup (240 g) of water over the tea leaves.
  4. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the tea through a sieve into a cup.

The leaves can be steeped more than three times.

If you don't have a food thermometer:
Bring the water to a boil, then immediately let it cool without a lid for 2 to 4 minutes, depending on how much water you are boiling and what kind of tea you are making.
Never pour boiling water over green tea leaves. This releases too much bitterness and also "cooks" the tea leaves instead of bringing out their beautiful aromas and benefits.
