Wild since 1999
The green tea trees on our partner farm on Jeju Island are lush and robust, and are often adorned with spiders and other beautiful insects, thriving alongside the island's rich wildlife – a clear indication that our green tea has been grown without any chemicals, pesticides, or artificial additives.
Instead, he is...
A source
Wild Orchard has an exclusive partnership with a single regenerative farm on Jeju Island for all our teas, so there are absolutely no questions about traceability. Period.
The origin
Jeju Island
All Wild Orchard tea comes from a single tea plant variety called Camellia sinensis, grown on a 1,000-acre regenerative tea farm on the subtropical volcanic island of Jeju in South Korea. For the first two decades, the farmers allowed their green tea plants and soil to grow wild, free of chemicals and artificial additives, in order to develop the healthiest and purest green tea possible. During this time, no significant profit was made, and they worked solely to protect and maintain the purity of the green tea. Since then, they have continued to cultivate their teas naturally and regeneratively, without pesticides, fertilizers, or compromising practices.
Born on the farm
The farm's tea plants originated from seeds sourced from their organic and equally pristine sister farm on the mainland. These seeds were planted directly into the soil of Jeju Island, allowing them to develop much deeper roots than trees that had simply been transplanted. This facilitated better nutrient uptake, resulting in stronger, healthier plants and ultimately, a healthier tea.
Our mission
It's no secret that green tea is a powerhouse of antioxidants and other incredible properties. Not only does it combat a range of ailments like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, but it even improves mental health. While the green tea industry is booming, it can be difficult to know which tea to choose. Even "healthy" products like teas and natural foods can contain contaminants and have very low nutrient bioavailability, depending on their origin and how they're grown or processed. That's why we felt it was time to introduce Wild Orchard Green Tea in partnership with a truly good, clean, regenerative source. We're honored to bring you this hidden gem, hoping to help people everywhere achieve better health and develop a deeper understanding of how we must protect nature, because ultimately, it's nature that protects us.
